On Friday 18th December the third day of the project will take place with a clear informative objective, aimed at the mayors and mayors of the regions in the interior of the province of Valencia. The regions of La Plana de Utiel-Requena, Hoya de Buñol and Valle de Cofrentes-Ayora will be represented at the event.
Among the speakers invited to the event are Fernando Benlliure, Mayor of Utiel, Teresa Hernández, Mayor of Siete Aguas and Ángel Pérez, Mayor of Zarra. All of them are municipalities from the interior of the province and will also be accompanied by their host, in this case the Vice President of the Diputación de Valencia, Carlos F. Bielsa, who will open the event.
The event aims to raise awareness among political leaders about the problems caused by the concentration of nitrates in the integral water cycle and how the LIFE Libernitrate project helps to combat it. In addition to the aforementioned mayors and mayoress, representatives from the Regional Ministry of Agriculture, the Government Delegation in the Autonomous Community of Valencia, the Valencia Provincial Council and the Consorci de la Ribera, the project’s coordinating body, will also be present.
